Expert grading formed livable grounds with connected spaces on this steeply sloping Mill Valley property. A fireplace and grill integrated into the stone retaining walls frame a cozy outdoor room.
Plant species, selected for both habitat creation and low-water consumption, soften the terrace transitions with a hanging garden effect. An informal orchard was planted to reproduce the historical character of the garden.
